Over the last 6 weeks, the new committee has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the Winter Season, including some exciting new initiatives. 

AND…..We’re excited to announce that memberships for our Winter Season are NOW OPEN!

Perth Scorpions Website (powered by RevolutioniseSPORT)

We have onboarded a new club management tool called RevolutioniseSPORT to help manage our clubs activities which has enabled us to launch our brand new Perth Scorpions website.

The Perth Scorpions website will become your one-stop-shop including news, memberships, training, events and support material. 

Ensure you bookmark the site as a favourite on your phone and/or desktop. 

Memberships

Memberships are now open for the Winter Season and can be completed via the new Perth Scorpions website. The season commences Sunday, 20 March and runs until the end of August.

Memberships are available for Training only or Competitive Games and Training.

To complete your membership, navigate to the ‘Memberships’ page and select ‘Register’ to complete your membership.

Competitive Games

Registrations for 2022 Winter Season are due by Sunday, 27 February. This enables team selection and announcements to take place prior to the commencement of the new season. 

Competitive games readiness will be at the discretion of Scorpion Trainers/Coaches as well as team vacancies. 

Training

Training for the Winter Season will be customised to members skill levels and team requirements. 

Fees

Payment of fees will enable the club to facilitate training and games including the cost of equipment, game fees and venue hire as well as general running costs. 

Please note all fees are currently being finalised and subject to change prior to the commencement of the Winter Season. 

Approximate costs for the 2022 Winter Season are: 

• Training Only - Members have the option to pay for the full Winter season at a discounted rate or pay per session. Fees for training will be approximately $175 - $225 for the season (approximately 25 weeks) or $10.00 per session plus $34 for Personal Accident Insurance. 

• Training and One Competitive Game Night - Fees will be approximately $425 - $475 for the season (approximately 25 weeks training and 23 weeks Competitive Games) plus $34 for Personal Accident Insurance.

Payment arrangements (quarterly or monthly) are available. Please advise the team member when discussing your membership if you are experiencing financial difficulties. 

*Note: Personal Accident Insurance is an annual fee and provides coverage from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. 

Personal Accident Insurance

The Perth Scorpions are affiliated with Volleyball WA and are covered by their Public Liability Insurance, Professional Indemnity Insurance and Personal Accident insurance while involved in volleyball related activities.    

As part of our affiliation requirements, all members of Perth Scorpions must be registered with Volleyball WA to be eligible for this insurance. If members are not registered, all insurances, including the affiliates, may become void. 

The annual cost of ‘Gold’ level Personal Accident Insurance ($34.00) will be added to all membership fees for the 2022 Winter Season to ensure our duty of care to each member and to maintain validity of our insurance.
