Dear Perth Scorpions

I trust this email finds you in good health. 

As some of you may now be aware, there have been some changes to the Perth Scorpions Committee recently that we wanted to formally communicate. 

Alex Burnett and Cleo Baker have made the decision to step down from their respective committee roles. 

Alex Burnett

Firstly, Alex. One of the hardest working members of the committee. Alex is one of the three founding members of the Perth Scorpions that started in 2020. Without his energy, drive and foresight, Perth Scorpions Volleyball would not exist.

Alex started as Treasurer on the inaugural committee, stepping up to Vice President in December 2021 in his second term. Notable achievements during his time on the committee included securing our Scorpions team spots in the Loftus competitive leagues, confirming our first major sponsor Chambers Franklin, launching our uniform range and driving social volleyball and events through the major challenges of COVID-19. His passion will be sorely missed. 

Cleo Baker

Cleo joined the committee in December 2021 and supported events including the Picnic for Pinnacle that raised over $500. Cleo also focused on driving lesbian inclusion within the club, promoting the Scorpions via her social channels. 

We take this opportunity to acknowledge, appreciate and thank them both for their contribution to the committee and to the Club and we look forward to their ongoing participation with the club. 

Welcome aboard Remy and Rowan

We are pleased to announce that Remy Watkins and Rowan Simpson will join the committee as General Members. Remy will focus on Social Media and Rowan will take on Events and new member onboarding. 

Please join me in welcoming Remy and Rowan on their appointment to the Perth Scorpions committee.
